This is a downloadable 28-page worksheet on The Economist. This functional style is easy to learn and can be used in many different contexts – the clean and efficient look suits both longer quotes and single words. The readability is quite high and the simple lines are perfect for shading! The Economist hasn’t been with me for long, but it’s already one of my favorites. I am seriously thinking of making this my signature.
The sheets cover characteristics, variations and techniques, and of course the upper and lower case letters of the alphabet, along with words and quotes.
This monoline style requires a good finliner or bullet tip pen to get it just right. For this worksheet I recommend Staedtler Pigment Liner 1.0 or 1.2, and for larger works I use Sakura Pen Touch 2.0
