I spent a lot of time looking for a book about lettering that I felt I needed, but I couldn’t find it so I wrote it myself instead.
Lises Lettering – Konsten att rita bokstäver, is in Swedish and was published in april of 2018. It has some information about the basics of lettering and a few ideas about what to do with the letters that you’re gonna draw – and they will be many, believe me, because lettering is so much fun. And in addition to that there’s also parts about coffee, swears and other nonsense as well, but it’s still quite good. There are definitely more detailed and thorough books on the subject of lettering techniques, but there’s already plenty of them on the market. Lises Lettering is a book with loads of ideas, inspiration and tips on how to have fun while learning something completely new. I share a lot from my own journey that’s gone from never seeing a brush pen to actually making a living off of one (or, erhm, many).
