I don’t know about you, but as far as I’m concerned, good bushpens in metallic colors are as rare as unicorns. Either the color is not opaque, pigmented or metallic enough, or they are hopeless to write with, and are only available in gold and silver. Well, here’s a living unicorn: Karin DécoBrush Metallic Brush Markers are magical brush markers with lots of shine and they come in 10 different colors! With this set you can create the cards, labels and posters of a lifetime, and you can even mix the colors, as they are not alcohol-based (but still waterproof). Love Karin!
The paint is based on metallic pigments and, although it is water-based, it is opaque on both dark and light paper and, once dry, it is both permanent, lightfast and waterproof. This means you can use it on many different surfaces – wood, ceramic, glass, metal and plastic. If you want to use it on surfaces that are subject to a lot of wear and tear, a coat of varnish on top is recommended. If you haven’t used the pen for a while, shake it before use until you see that the paint has mixed well.
Because the pens are so opaque, they are extra fun to use on dark surfaces. Think for example of colored paper, or a Letteringblock Black. You can also find the pens individually here.
