Good brush pens in metallic colors are as rare as unicorns if you ask me. Either the color isn’t opaque, pigmented or metallic enough, or they’re hopeless to write with – and only available in gold and silver. With these pens you can create the cards, labels and posters of a lifetime, and you can even mix the colors because they are not alcohol-based (but still waterproof). I’ve really plowed the pen market but never found any pens that come close to these in terms of color, opacity or tip. Love Karin!
The paint is based on metallic pigments and, although it is water-based, it is opaque on both dark and light paper. Once dry, it is permanent, lightfast and waterproof, which means you can use it on a wide range of surfaces – wood, ceramics, glass, metal and plastic. If you want to use it on surfaces that are subject to a lot of wear and tear, a coat of varnish on top is recommended. If the pen hasn’t been used for a while, shake it before use until the paint is well mixed.
Because the pens are so opaque, they are extra fun to use on dark surfaces – think colored paper or a Lettering Block Black, for example.
